Paul McMurray, Ph.D.

Paul McMurray is founder and president of Insight Management Consulting is a consultant, coach and master trainer focusing on leadership, teamwork, and communications. For more than 20 years, Paul has helped hundreds of organizations worldwide transform their cultures so employees can openly discuss delicate issues and hold one another accountable. Globally, he has impacted thousands of lives by equipping individuals with the communication and leadership skills they need to be successful.
Paul is motivated by learning, fun, and problem solving. He has a minor in Mandarin Chinese. He has taught all over the world to all types of organizations from Dubai to Malaysia and Trinidad to Toronto. He enjoys sharing stories about his wife, their three adult children and nine grandchildren.

For more than 25 years, Paul has helped leaders assess their organizations, develop their strategic plans and implement change initiatives. He has worked with boards of directors and senior leadership teams to create compelling visions and strategic goals. He has worked with all levels of management to help align their goals and daily tasks with leadership’s strategic vision. Part of what makes Paul effective is his ability to create a safe environment for holding difficult conversations.
Paul has worked with large and small companies in writing and analyzing employee and customer surveys. His skills as an economist make him adept in creating business plans for new lines of business and he has helped over 50 companies implement these business plans into new profitable lines of business.
Paul has an extensive background in training and development. He is a Master Certified Trainer representing five different training companies and their programs:
Paul has managed and conducted open-enrollment trainings throughout the US and Canada and has taught hundreds of trainers how to be more effective in their training. Paul has worked in many industries as a trainer including: Agriculture, Aerospace, Automobile, Drilling, Financial Services, Food Services and production, Healthcare, Higher Education, Insurance, State and Federal Governments, Manufacturing, Mining, Natural Gas, Pharmaceuticals and Telecom. Some of his federal clients are: USDA, FDA, Missile Defense Agency, Army CHRA, Army Research Lab, Development & Engineering Command, USMC, NIH, International Broadcasting Bureau/Voice of America, NASA and USAID.
In his consulting and training work, Paul has engaged with employees at all levels, from the board of directors to the front-line staff. While his key training programs are in communications and leadership, Paul has also presented seminars on customer service, team building, influence, personal development and change.
In addition to his work in the United States, he has presented seminars in Eastern Europe (Budapest, Kosovo and Sarajevo), Malaysia, Trinidad, Canada, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Kenya and Senegal.
He is one of the McMurray Brothers who teach and speak together regularly.
Paul holds a Ph.D. in business psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. He holds two undergraduate degrees in English and Economics and a graduate degree in Economics all from the University of Utah. Paul studied and taught economics while in an economics Ph.D. program at Penn State University and also taught economics for 6 years at Monroe Community College in Rochester, NY.

David McMurray

David McMurray is President of Insight Management Consulting’s western division is a consultant, coach and master trainer focusing on leadership, teamwork, and communications. For more than 17 years, David has helped hundreds of organizations transform their cultures by analyzing employees and customer feedback. Over the past five years, David has partnered with his younger brother Paul to impact hundreds of lives by training and facilitating programs on communication, leadership and employee engagement.
David is motivated by teamwork, impact and fun. He is fluent German and enjoys choral singing. He has competed and concertized with his choral groups throughout the world. He is a gourmet baker and loves to travel.

For more than 25 years, David has been a consultant, trainer and researcher. For 17 years prior to joining Insight Management, David was the Director of Consulting Services for Scantron Survey Services (a division of Harland Clark), overseeing a wide range of customer and employee engagement surveys – including the overall research study design, advanced statistical analysis and executive debriefs.
He has conducted hundreds of classes and presentations on opinion survey fundamentals, including writing effective survey questions, sampling, reporting, data analysis and interpretation. In addition to his consulting skills, David has hundreds of hours of coaching others – helping them move toward what they really want.
David has an extensive background in training and development. He is a Master Certified Trainer representing four different training companies and their programs:
He is the older half of the McMurray Brothers who teach and speak together regularly.
David has facilitated over 100 webinars in his career where he has guided clients through a maze of research information. Because of his skills as a teacher, David has been able to take complex statistical information and distill it down into simple stories for the clients to comprehend and utilize. His training clients include NASA, HUD, McCormick and Company, International Broadcasting Bureau, and USDA-AHPIS.
In his consulting and training work, David has engaged with employees at all levels, from the board of directors to the front-line staff. While his key training programs are in communications and leadership, David has also presented seminars on customer service, team building, influence and change.
David studied music at the University of Utah where he received is BA in choral music education. He received his MBA from Brigham University. He is certified in the MBTI and DiSC.

Kimberley Young

I am a former federal civilian who served as a personnel security professional and Deputy Inspector General for over 20 years. I have over 19 years of experience in leadership development, both as a manager and mentor, as well as over seven years of coaching experience. I have a proven track record of empowering employees and leaders at all levels to achieve their goals.

Provide mentor coaching to current and credential-seeking coaches by reviewing recordings and conducting core competency reviews and assessments to ensure understanding.

Kimberley has an extensive background in executive leadership, having more than 22 years in Federal Government service – 19 of which were in leadership roles. Lee McCormick

Business Development Director with over 17 years of experience in the consulting and training industry. An experienced trainer and facilitator who now focuses all his energies on building and growing our business.
He has over 18 years of experience working as a civilian for the US Army in Europe and 17 years working in the USA in the consulting industry as a trainer, coach, and supporter of clients as they navigate the nuances of facilitating workshops.

Lee has focused his efforts on building our business and supporting our clients. He constantly seeks to understand the needs of our clients and finds solutions to help meet those needs. He has also been a great support to our clients’ internal trainers by providing resources to make them more effective, but also by encouraging and guiding their development.

Lee has over 18 years of experience in the consulting and training industry as a workshop facilitator and business development director. While his time is now dedicated to building the consulting and training aspects of our business, he was certified in many training programs, including:

Lee was instrumental in helping our clients who were new to training develop their facilitation skills and the skills of those within their organizations. In addition to his work in the consulting and training business, Lee brings over 20 years of experience working for the US Army’s Regional Chaplain’s Office in Heidelberg, Germany. He helped plan, coordinate, and execute training workshops and retreats and provided religious support to over 60,000 American soldiers and their families.
